We don't charge overages without talking to you first. If you exceed your plan's included ingest or search allowance, we'll reach out to discuss your usage. Overages are priced at $0.10 per GB ingested and $1.00 per TB searched, but in the case of sustained overages, we typically work with you to move into an expanded plan that better fits your needs.

All plans include 12 months of log retention at no extra cost. Every single log stays hot and instantly searchable with lightning-fast search: no cold storage, no rehydration delays. This is a key differentiator: your 12-month-old logs are just as fast to query as today's. Enterprise plans can extend retention beyond 12 months.

Yes to both. You can reduce your retention period to less than 12 months at any time from within your account settings. If you need retention beyond 12 months, contact our sales team and we'll set up an extended retention plan for you.

A "search" is any query executed against your stored logs: whether from the UI, API, alerts, or dashboards. We measure search volume by the amount of data scanned (in TB), not the number of queries. This means a simple targeted query costs far less than a broad full-scan.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you'll be prorated for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your data is always preserved when changing plans.
